Crooked illusion

Crooked illusion

A Poem by isiah_holmes

Calm is the road tonight

Calm it is

The creeping peace, only to give way

It calls, what did the chirping cricket say?

    The unnatually born calming echo

This smooth dark place lined with cubes, full of souls they are

This palce is a grand stone maze

This mind, our reality a haze

The gaze! The freezing gaze!

The killer lurking in the wind whipped bush

   The cruel man, the uniformed

        Destroyer of his childrens perceptions

Rapist of the canvas, the artist's expression

He waits for the lone wonderer

His eyes, set on his next kill....

          KILL! KILL! KILL!

             BURN! BURN! BURN!

locking his victims away safe in his vault

The killer in blue is never at fault

His treasures nest, the dragon eyed fiend

Denying this tired place peace
