Bird child

Bird child

A Poem by isiah_holmes

Disgusting betrayal

Dim lights on your black face

Beautiful face

But its only an illusion

A moonlit effect or the peaceful aftermath of war

My heart you tore

Its alright, i have felt this before

The lonely sparow bird needs only love

He hates the summers alone

The nights so cold

His feathers ruffle when it rains

But all he knows is rejection

All he desires is a little affection

So then, he can stand his own reflection

And tolerate his life

Maybe the bird should lay on the ground

Or under some rock, and die

Die, letting his pain fall towards the sky

Shimmering, glimmering

Floating away

Away, into the begining of the day

all because someone wouldnt say

they cared

a cold, ruthless fashion

Just to experience human compassion
