why we are the way we areA Poem by isiah_holmesDo you understand?
Plastic lives, rubber dolls decrepit music, dust falls All of this will be a memory soon As subtle as a grain of sand in a dune From beyond our senses, beyond our perception Our hearts, our minds, tonight make one last confession They call us damaged goods We wouldnt want to fit in if he could Choose this life again? I think we would
We could teach you many things about life What its like to be completely alone in times of strife Or how sharp a killer should keep his knife The worlds on fire You called us all liers So we start to conspire When your faith becomes more dire
And so you sit back in your chair Knowing life is unfair Its like a preschool dare Trying to make your political masters care
So we'll all run away What more could i say If you conform its ok We all wake up to the same day Whether you "I' or your "Nay" Toss all your hate in a bay I'll end now if i may...
But before i go I want you all to know Rebel children make this so Because of you we only grow What more should i show?
Just because we're different Dosent mean we're not the same We're just boys without pasts Or Teenage girls without names We're made to grow up real fast And reality? Well it got up and it came.
We all have a story A voice to be heard If we laugh please dont worry We may not be just like you But we're human, and we stick togther like glue. I dont think you would even sue So ending is what i'll do Something tells me you all get the clue. © 2013 isiah_holmes |
