THE LEAFLESS TREE

THE LEAFLESS TREE

A Poem by Isha Chaube
"

I wrote this poem to thank my best friend who came in my life from nowhere and Changed me for good. She has been the best person who has ever walked in my life.

"
There once lived a leaf less tree
As unattractive as it could ever be
As unasked as a drop in the big blue ocean
As worthless as the gods worst creation
But then blew the magical wind
Changed the tree for what it was destined
The tree for the first time bustled
Started to blossom as it got ruffled
Days past and more and more beautiful it became
To its amazement once again the wind came
"you blossomed me as you flee
Ask for anything" uttered the tree
The wind wanted nothing except the pleasure of giving
It was so happy to see tree living
So amazed the tree was that it could not believe
Asked the wind to stay with it and never to leave
The tree thanked the wind from its heart's core
And gifted it the sweetest flower it wore
For the world it was just the tRees little part
But no one knew it was the tRees only heart

Your friend ship made me better
YOU made me realise "yes I matter"
What were my capabilities I never knew
I Was living in my own world untill I met you
You were the wind and I was the tree
Hold me tight and don't set me free
Twinkle and beautify thisdark sky
Together we can amaze everyone who passes by
Nourish me with your laughter
And I promise to be with you hereafter.
-The nobody!
