SHADOWA Poem by isasiWrote an english poem after a long timeBeware not to walk in the sun The brighter the light, the darker the shadow Don't be fooled by the rising sun The straighter the light, the longer the shadow Beware not to face the glaring light Don't try to laugh or act delight The harder you try, the heavier the shadow For, the light is the world looking at you The mask of mirth, your struggle for acceptance The shadow, your sadness and your insecurities For the light is just a milestone to be crossed in the run of life, Today it's in the front, tomorrow you leave it behind. But the shadow is what sticks around. You think you got by with your mask as you walk past the smiling light But you only need to look back, to see the world laughing at your shadow from behind. © 2012 isasiAuthor's Note
