Black BlanketA Poem by LangstonOctober
A black blanket falls from the sky
and covers her world. It consumes all illumination and suffocates her hope ushering the unwelcome company of misery to settle in her chest. Her heart beats the sound of pounding metal, making her uneasy and fragile. Deep in the dark cave of despair, she cries until suddenly a spark. © 2011 LangstonOctoberFeatured Review
