More Than A Body

More Than A Body

A Poem by isabelladev

I feel your eyes

watching

I hear your words

“complimenting”

I am nothing but a body

I keep my head down

like a good girl

I hide my anger

its “unattractive”

I am nothing but a body

You tell your friends about me

lying

You are surprised when i speak

correcting

I am more than a body

I face you

unafraid

I scream from the mountains

unsilenced

I am more than a body
