![]() Smiles and HurtA Poem by IsabellaI know of harm and sorrow, and crystal tears
that fall. I've felt the pain and loss, and the emptiness
that follows. You say you know the feeling? Well I guarantee
you don’t, For you were born with smiles, and I was born
with hurt. I've lived with bitter fears, anxieties and
worries. My eyes see past the falseness, but you just
stand there blind I'm overflowed with sadness; it hits me from
both sides, From the earliest of ancestors, back before my
time. It came to me quite often, like a long black
hallow sleep. Then slowly it subsided, and my mind was set at
ease, But quickly it returned, but only for a second! Like a faint and subtle tremor, with aftermath much worse. Soon I went to hide, and never did return. The dim light hides my worries, but never can
erase. The corner's where I stayed, till life drained
from my body, © 2013 Isabella |
