Journey

Journey

A Poem by Isabella
"

Take a journey and find who you are. Never be afraid of who you are, or what you can become.

"

Swept away by radiant stars,

And the light of a pale full moon,

Where trees come down to shake your hand,

And flowers keep you rooted in place.

In a world where no harm can come to you,

Or to the people who follow,

Where a smile is always close in reach,

And tears will never stray.

Wandering in the valley of hope

To find the glowing pale fire,

Where the people dance for merry things,

Like love that I always aspire.

To dance to the beat of the patting drum

To flow with the sounds of the harp

To sway with the song of untainted bliss

I must learn what I have become.

Slowly I face with nervous eyes,

Into the inferno's great heat,

And notice green eyes staring back at me,

With fear of what I might see.

But what I see does not alarm,

Nor frighten I who seeks,

I see kindness and love and companionship,

Embedded in the depth of my soul.

Seen my true self and all the good,

And the faults that I must repair,

I can dance by the fire of truth and know

That I can go home much sooner.
