Aside the view

Aside the view

A Poem by Matthew Paul

Once, we were so young

I  can remember the winter snowing

Driven by such inquisition

Always asking and never knowing

My, we have aged though

Through the motions we kept on growing

Humble we stand together

Dreaming of brighter futures

Reaching for the eye, the mind

Give the time to breed the shinning youth

Humble minds carry on beside the hope

Inside the passion and aside the view.

Now I'll get to a thought or two..
You know I love your words well I hope you know that in any case.
Well, your prose is always kind of nice.. this I dare to say is jumpy, choppy.. there seems to be too much space between the visions.
But don't listen to me.. really, don't. I think what I want to say is, I like your pretty, I like the soft innards of lovely this is like a prayer but one older people have when time after time they didn't quite turn out so it doesn't have conviction.. Dont hate me for what I just said, I just know your voice has so much more authority than what I just read is all.

And all that from such a hack (not you me), but you asked for thoughts
