Furry PawsA Poem by Isaac De CastroA poem about a lonely and neglected pet. With furry paws, and pampered nails, It stared at the door with quite a
glare, His hair was white like dusty snow, And fell around him, fluffing low. His eyes were green, and glowed delight, And showed complaints to her, at night, For at that time was when he saw her, For all the day he was with others. A mere ornament in the house, He swiftly swung his tail about, And as she came in through the door, She glared at him, but nothing more. Wearing her fur around her neck, To her room thoughtless she went. © 2014 Isaac De CastroAuthor's Note
