Written about the girl of my dreams as I dreamed of what she would be while I waited for her to arrive in my life. This became a Hallmark Card for a run. :-)

I knew you were special.

 

There was a light in your eyes,

And a passion in your heart

The likes of which I had never known.

 

Your smile was radiant

And your cheer could clear the cloudy skies.

 

Without a word

I knew you were the one;

Without one doubt

I entered your life.

 

And without a single regret

I will stand by your side for an eternity.

You are my friend

And you are my love.

 

I will be yours and yours alone

For as long as you will love me;

And my only wish is that I might touch your life now,

As you have already touched mine.
