BeautyA Poem by Isa Ruffatti Look around you as you sink Into deeper despair Over what you do not possess and never shall You don´t have those eyes that so flatter men You have no hair to be proud of As the Titanic you sink even deeper still Swim, Time has still not fled Beauty is not all there is Yet it remains possessing humanity pushing limits Hurling us into an abyss Oh greedy beauty! Have mercy upon us! For we, merely mortals Fate´s playthings Have a meager say in what is to come
