monstro de papel

monstro de papel

A Poem by (no es) maria
"

murder of a paper monster

"
I was so willing to rip you
throw you to the wind
watch you flutter
vanish to the sky

I saw you under
 snowfall's melt
 translucent and pink
staring at me with an occasional blink and twitch

I wept all over you
my hand-writing scrawled
all over you

words I wanted to erase but now that they're written, they won't go away

I should have coated you with white out
or stamped you with a sharpie until you bruised

Or maybe, from now on
before I put pen to paper
or fingertip to keypad
I'll think of your little corpse

and pause.

good poem, it shows how much things can change, from being in love and happy to being angry and vengeful or sad and hopeless.
I have two favorite parts, the first one for how you described it and the second because it made me laugh:
"I saw you under
snowfall's melt
translucent and pink
staring at me with an occasional blink and twitch"

"I should have coated you with white outor stamped you with a sharpie until you bruised"

good job with this poem :)

This is a great piece. A welcome deviation from the angst and love poems I've seen posted tonight.

Your words reflect deliberate choices of languages.

Thanks for posting this. It is refreshing.
