"Nebula Maria"

"Nebula Maria"

A Poem by (no es) maria
"

Dennis and I

"

Dennis and I watched Orion do a handstand
"Is he upside-down?" he asked
"I don't think so."

We're still not sure.

Sirius below. Serious Dennis.
"When are you the happiest?" he asked me

"I don't know. I guess when everyone else is happy."
He looked upset.

"What about when everyone else is happy and you still feel upset.
Like you were this summer."

I look for Castor and Pollux.
My face is hot

"You can ask everyone s**t, but you can never answer me," he says sadly
He's a mirror. The rose-tinted mirror.

He forgets for a minute that I'm not the reflection
The inside doesn't match the outside.

"I forget... what's a nebula?"
He flicks his cigarette, takes one more sweeping glance at the Winter Hexagon

"It's a cloud in the stars, sugar..
Like your head."
