once in a while

silver eyelids crossed
down on
me
i thought she was too drunk

it was just another
dream

of sorts anyway

glaring
frothing
behind the teeth
me

you
staring
smiling
then closing your eyes
and
nodding

we

feeling
somewhat closer now
how eager
arms embrace
altogether

us
cold
worried
lonely
hurt

me
it stings this
wind
this blood inside
this

...never mind
just look at me
one more
time
