These Hazel Eyes

These Hazel Eyes

A Poem by Leigh Bain
"

I'm estranged from my parents because they didn't agree with the man I married. However we have been together for ten years now, you'd think they'd be happy for my happiness but at times you have to cast aside family to attain happiness.

"

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
A child's smile,
A gentle at heart.

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
A flame burns bright
For you to see me

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
I'm only human
Can't all be forgiven?

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
You gaze beyond
And never see

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
A new spark burns
A new love grows

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
Mother, father,
Your time is up. For,

Deep within
These hazel eyes,
My new life begins
Just me and him.

I had to read the description again after reading the piece to grasp it... This is an infinitely sweet and flowing piece.
You have accomplished something most don't: using a theme that is not so overused that it has become tired. And you did it well!

I love the flow and I'm in love with the message here. Good luck to you guys.
