PrincessA Poem by Leigh BainThis poem is based on our younger cat Zoe. I had to write a poem of some form for my Creative Writing class and this is the result. It's been my springboard to write other poems.Soft white fur specked with chocolate just where it counts
She struts like a princess carefully examining every room she enters
Whining if her food dish is not filled high enough,
With a burst of energy, she dashes here and there.
Tilting her head, graciously reminding all,
Finding her favorite place to relax,
But alas, even princesses miss their footing.
She collects herself quickly (after all she did land on her feet)
