25A Poem by The Shortcomings & Goings Of Mr. B. Griffinwhat years, they pass with calls, your loving tone, wishing me my special wish, the little boy in your eye.
you wished me regards, as i set out older, still wishing me my special wish, still that little boy.
when things fell through, 'don't worry baby, it'll all work out', still wishing, still loving, still so small to you.
always such excitement, so calmed by your words, so special i felt, so small. 'i'll see you later baby, come visit me', everytime you'd say, warmest on the cold March days.
you never forgot, my special wishes, smallest wishes worth grand avenues.
is turn in those 25 wishes, for one more special wish, to be the little boy in your eye, once again.
