Oblivious to Relevance

A Poem by Raven Samone'

It would be so simple, if I felt they understand,
The pain is like a knife through the palm of my hand.
And when I want to go forward, just when I think I can,
Some new obstacle arises & clueless is where I land.
My tears will never phase them, so I hold emotions longer,
Senseless in the thought that this holding makes me stronger.
But I'm desperately searching soul & even at times I wonder,
If I'm blinded by my own feelings-on this I often ponder.
False hope is just my situation, impatience is what makes me weak.
As I stumble upon this mountain, on which, the foot is my peak.
Just when I find happiness, as soon as the words I speak,
What feels like joy is wicked bliss, my soul begins to leak.
The eyes are yet still open, however, still, I seem so blind.
This heart I have is eager to love, and the opposite is my mind.
So, I put myself back in a box buying precious time to unwind.
Try to be cautious, yet, still oblivious, to old hurts that still me bind
