Pardon Me

Pardon Me

A Poem by Raven Samone'

Excuse me if what I say seems to strike something within,
But, it's clear that I'm never letting go of you again.
I apologize if the truth exposes what we may have been hiding,
But is it ok to have to live in a lie, then?
I'm sorry if their feelings have gotten in the way,
But I'm not going to leave you, I'm afraid I'll stay!
So, pardon me if their jealousy leaves you confused,
I laugh at their anger, it's bitter, and I refuse...
To sit and ignore you, when quite frankly, it's more,
Than just simple "I love you's" when you walk out the door.
You return to me, passion, and create ignited flames.
So, excuse THEM if it hurts them, there's no one to blame.
Can't resist the feelings we fought so hard to maintain!
So, this storm, this wrteched, wicked hurricane...
It has to cease, most definitely has to pass,
Can't allow it to stay, can't allow it to last.
So, when they throw dirt on our names,
And make things worse than they have to be.
I'll fight for our love...so ahead of time...PARDON ME!
