Letter of a Lost, Newfound Love

Letter of a Lost, Newfound Love

A Poem by Raven Samone'

My dearest "Trey",
I'm sorry to have to oppose, but, your love lost, I suppose...
Was only temporary!
And forgive me for saying it's a lie, and then asking why....
Was losing a love so scary?
Because when you think you've lost, and you add up all the costs....
You see what's real.
Was it worth it to cry, did you really really try,
To understand how it feels.
To really lose your heart....now, this is a new start....
Love is never truthless.
But if you feel you must disguise all those covered up lies....
And that your words must be ruthless.
Then you're more than welcomed to, go head an do what you do....
I'm only here to learn, but teach.
So, listen to the words, see, they haven't been rehearsed....
How deep does my thought reach?
And before I turn to go, I just have to let you know.
Because we're done doesn't mean love's through.
So from my heart to your soul...I hope she'll complete and make you whole.
This is me signing my goodbye to my you!
Oh yeah, I forgot, by the way....I wrote this that day....
So, now I'm not lost and confused.
I'm adored by this man, and it feels os-so-grand...
Because I'm no longer mistreated and misused!

Sincerely,
A Newfound Love
...it seemed YOU are the one with a "Love Lost"
