Alderliefest, My Star

Alderliefest, My Star

A Poem by Adessa

Alderliefest, my nightly love,
Enveloped in the cotton of velvet blues,
Gentle lights and songs of silence.
Brilliance so grand in thy modesty,
I lull and cesse my stresses for this nightly love.
To me, it sings and paints,
most splendorous a dance,
the humble hopes and sorrow of songs forlorn.
Pricks and freckles on the ageless face,
as to lull me to peace so rarely found.
Alderliefest, my star, my sky,
Beauteous diamonds,
worth more to the heart,
than to any one man alone,
in love, alderliefest, in love.
