Wonder, Oh Wonder

Wonder, Oh Wonder

A Poem by Adessa
"

For the same english assignment as "Never Was, So Plain". The teacher actually kept mine several weeks after to make copies for examples. ^_^

"

I wonder, I wonder,
What is it to wonder of wonder?
To wonder at trees, the stars and the leaves,
Or gander at ships, tossed on high seas.
I wonder, I wonder.

Oh, wonder, to wonder,
To wonder how does the suns stay,
So far, far away,
But still touch us with a soft golden ray?
I wonder, I wonder.

To the marvel of wonder!-
Carry on still the curiousity of wonders,
Why do people have thumbs-
but squirrels who fly, do not?
I wonder, I wonder.

But, oh how, I wonder,
Wonder does not harm those who wonder,
As curiousity harmed the cat,
But what of wonder is not curiousity?
I wonder, I wonder.

I ponder at wonder,
Such wonderful wonder,
So vast and complex,
So simple and small.
I wonder, I wonder.
