Midsummers DayA Poem by AndreaA poem about solitude and loneliness.Soft smooth sand sifting through my toes The solitude I feel, nobody knows A thin wavery light, a ray The only remains of a midsummers day.
Loneliness, never felt before Comes gushing out in a heavy pour Never before have I felt this way The only remains of a midsummers day.
An absence I feel, is heavy in the air Heartbreaking, as it is to share Across the sun-drenched beach I lay The only remains of a midsummers day.
The day comes to an end, like all days do Never knowing if today was true Forgotten words never meant to say The only remains of a midsummers day. © 2008 AndreaAuthor's Note
