Sonnet VII

Sonnet VII

A Poem by Amber Sun
"

My personal favorite Sonnet thus far.

"

I see his sunbeams upon each wave
In salty mists mingled with the breeze
Of summer's serene carressing tease
Bringing me the majesty I crave
As I soar above the crashing seas
Freed within these pristine skies to race
With wings of my father's I embrace
To catch Apollo before he flees.
Seeking his chariot ablaze I chase
Him high above the clouds 'till desire
Is shattered by his arrows of fire
Ripping my wings as I see his face
Looking at this falling boy who tried
but failed when "never" Apollo cried.
