Sonnet VI

Sonnet VI

A Poem by Amber Sun

Sixty steps I minutely take
before my secondary phase
can pace five dozen times to make
one of two dozen skips I face
pass in turn each time that I break
through the numbers that make the days
no more than a compiled and fake
arrangement of segments in ways
that leaves you waiting in the wake
of the past till the future says
that the present you can partake
in living your life in a haze
not truly seen only for sake
of wandering all through my maze.

Justin, Stop me if I'm missing something here, such as a maze unfigured, but I found this so hard to read and to figure out what you are trying to convey has left me in a heap of mental dust. Methinks one should not have to go through mental gymnastics to read and comprehend poetry. I like some of your other efforts but I am lost on this one. Don.
