Sonnet I

Sonnet I

A Poem by Amber Sun
"

Written before I payed attention to meter.

"

Throughout life I've been forced to fight,
Forlorn demons of the internal kind,
The worst of which not beyond hindsight;
A yearning to fill this void left behind.
Where are you Lilith and why did you blind,
This soul betrayed by these cursed eyes,
Enshrining memories of you in my mind,
With satiety forged from our loves demise.
High above all under the starlit guise,
Of night I find no destiny deprived,
From its righteous path yet darkness defies,
All but our dreams until fate has arrived,
To bring us together and seal our tie,
From here on earth to the stars in the sky.
