ResilienceA Poem by Mr. MooreI fell heavily to the ground, Dazed, gasping for a breath. I turn my weary eyes up, To the towering mound. The heights I had once reached, Now not but a distant dream. I would like for nothing more, than to retreat and admit defeat. All that time spent reaching, And finally achieving, then to fall so far. What will I do now? I will stand up, and try again, Failure will not be the end. I will return to those great heights, I will return before the coming of night. © 2012 Mr. Moore |
