Chapter 31 VoiceA Chapter by Jessica L. W. “I’m going to lose, just so we can use him.” Terrian whispers in my ear. I look at him, he smirks. I smile, using people may be wrong, but a healer could be good. I pull away from him, “Tell me about your past.” He smirks again, “You sure Princess?” I nod. “Well, I never knew my parents, Autumn raised me by herself. She was all I had. That’s pretty much it.” I stare at him, “There has to be more.” “You’re right, I walked into a room that Autumn forbid, and found my mother hanged.” “I- I’m sorry.” I look down at my hands on my lap. “According to Autumn, she wasn’t very nice, and she cheated on my father.” Terrian grabs one of my hands, I look up at him. He’s smiling, I smile back. Jeb walks up to us, “Marilynn, how have you been?” He sits next to me. He glares at Terrian. I look at him, “Fine, what do you want?” “I want you.” I expected that answer. “Please give me a chance.” “Remember when I was eight, we were at my parents anniversary, and you told me to go away?” I stared at him, “The only person you would talk to was the princess, and you didn’t believe me when I told you I was the princess.” “That was the past-” I cut him off. “So? That just proves how spoiled you are.” I look back at Terrian, he’s still smiling at me. “Would you please let me show you how much I have changed?” “I did, and you fight some guy for me, like the strongest person is the one I’ll love.” “If that’s how you feel fine, but I’m not going to give up. I’ll work till I die for you.” Jeb stands up and walks away, I smile at Terrian. “Good job, Princess.” He squeezes my hand. Yeah, good job, Princess, You have captured the hearts of two men.
