Chapter 29 KyleA Chapter by Jessica L. W. Mom got mad easily, she would always run outside, she always transformed in a dragon, and Dad still loved her. Mom would go to the kingdom everyday, I thought it was to go visit the King, but Dad told me it was to visit the Queen. Why would she need to visit the Queen? Dad said something about an experiment. I was watching a documentary about our kingdom’s past kings and queens, when Mom and Dad walked in, they were kissing. Mom pushes Dad against the wall. They had difficulty going up the stairs; Dad lost his shirt on the third step. A week later I was told I was going to have a little brother or sister. I smiled; maybe a new kid would make Mommy happy. The next nine months were the worst, Mommy would yell at Daddy for no reason. I remember once it was about wanting strawberries. Daddy said it was natural, he said she was the same way when she had me. Mom’s stomach grew slowly. Dad said it was a boy. They were deciding on names one night, Mom wanted Kyle. Dad said that Terrian might be better. Mom yelled. I watched Dad apologize, begging for forgiveness. He said he loved her. Mom stood there, she kept yelling. Than she transformed, record time I believed, and bit off his head. Blood was everywhere, Dad’s dead corpse on the floor. When Mom transformed back, she almost completely ignored me. She left every night to visit the Queen. I had to get a job at age 5 just to eat. One day Mom came home, with a little baby in a blue blanket. She said his name was Kyle. She placed Kyle in my arms, went into the bedroom, and never came out. “I don’t like Kyle; your name will be Terrian.” I said with a smile. I have to say, I was pretty good at raising kids for a 5 year old. He’s still alive right? © 2011 Jessica L. W.Author's Note
