Chapter 25 JebA Chapter by Jessica L. W. A man fell out of a tree, a guard! No! I scream. Terrian’s eyes snap open, and he jumps up, he put’s his hand on his chest and groans a little. The guard comes closer, Terrian is down on one knee, his hand still on his chest. I’m dead. The guard is standing right in front of me, and he bows? “I am here to serve you, Princess.” His hair, a golden blonde, the voice sounds familiar. “Jeb?” He looks up at me and smiles. Jeb stands up, his eyes are the same green, his hair has gotten longer, the pony tail was down to the bottom of his neck. He’s taller than me, and he’s become muscular. He was four years older than me, so he’s nineteen. If he and Terrian got in a fight, Jeb might win. “It’s good to see you again.” He was in battle armor; Mother had decided it should be a pale pink back when Dad ruled. He had a sword strapped to his belt. He looks at Terrian, he had finally stood up again, he looked a little embarrassed, “You’re the dragon? Wow, you’re just a kid.” Mom ran up, “Jeb! It’s been so long darling!” Jeb glares at her. Jeb says something to Mom, but all I heard was Terrian’s breathing, it was hard, he must be having difficulty. Mom walked away, and Jeb turned back to Terrian. “So, the other guys did that to your chest? My father was a healing sage, I didn’t pick up much, but I might be able to help you, but first,” He looks at me, “I got to say something to Marilynn.” “Uh, okay?” I say. “I love you; I loved you for a long time. I worked so hard to become a guard to get close to you after your mom refused to let me visit you anymore.” He get’s closer, smiling. “So, I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer, I’ll protect you, and I’ll be better than this ‘Dragon’,” He grabs my arms and comes closer. He closes his eyes and leans in. I look at Terrian for help, but Terrian already let a fist fly. It hit Jeb right in the eye and Jeb hits the ground. Terrian roared, “Don’t touch her!” He was breathing harder than before. I put my hand on his arm, he jerks his arm away. “Terrian, are you okay?” I ask. Terrian shakes his head, than is on his knees, and before I know it, he’s passed out on the ground again. Jeb is standing right next to me, “So the Dragon has kidnapped the Princess away from the Knight in Shinning Armor. What do you see in him?” I hesitate, “I don’t know, but not loving him is hard.” So, I do admit it, I do love him. The princess fell for the dragon. Sorry knight, try the next one. © 2011 Jessica L.
