Chapter 11 Limbo

Chapter 11 Limbo

A Chapter by Jessica L. W.

    I keep hearing those voices.

“I want you to kill Marilynn, kill her!” Jace, the king

“But, sir, I can’t kill her, she’s my best friend.” Alice

“You have to, the queen is too week to.”

    “No!”

“Did you just tell me no, Traitor!”

And a struggle, ending in a female scream, this guy doesn’t deserve to be king. A nightmare might open his eyes, but, of what?

Marilynn is sitting in the grass, crying, Alice is on the ground, dead, her neck clawed open, and Terrian is gone. What happened?

I walk up to Marilynn and sit by her. She hugs me and cries into my shoulder. Shouldn’t Terrian be doing this?

“Marilynn, I’m sorry I need to do something.”

She grips tighter, “Don’t leave me alone with Alice, please.”

“Terrian! Get over here!” I shout, I must leave her, I must punish Jace.

“I’m right here.” He is sitting behind a tree; he’s scared; he has never killed someone before.

“Go join him, I must leave.” I walk away, away from them, knowing this may take all of my energy, that I might never make it back, never come back from Limbo.

I sit on the other side of the forest, and meditate, for hours, till the dream world came.

Jace is taking a nap; the queen has annoyed him too much today. I penetrate his dream, he is dreaming of the queen taking a knife to Marilynn, perfect.

I made his dream my own, I became the queen, forcing her to turn around, and stab Jace. I forced him to feel the pain, to see the blood.

Jace woke up, his dream fading away, me getting lost in the darkness of Limbo. I look around, how do I get back to my body?

I wandered, trying to get back. I see a person, who’s that? Big guy, black hair, green eyes, pale skin, his face reminds me of Marilynn. It’s Kevin, the old king, he died, that look on his face, Madelyn was involved in his death.

“Hello, Sir” I said to him.

“Good luck getting out of here; I’ve been walking for years.” He walks by me. I run to catch up with him.

“Sir, you died four years ago.”

He grins at me, “Well I guess you died too, or you wouldn’t be here.”

I stop walking, I must have died, I guess I was inside Jace’s dream to long. So, I’m stuck wondering in Limbo with Kevin, forever.
