Piece

A Poem by Ashlee
"

A love poem.

"

Piece by piece I watch you go.

Piece by piece I'll never know.

Standing in the shallow end.

T'is not but a tear I lend.

You grab a sail and start to fly.

As you go I begin to cry.

Never knowing, never learning.

It is only you that I am yearning.

I thought you were the only one.

Now, it seems I have a son.

A kiss and hug day by day.

I still see you walk away.

You do not want, you do not care.

All you ever do is stare.

Can't you see that I can cry?

Will you stand and watch me die?

Author's Note

Ashlee
This is about a girl losing the one she loves to war. He left and she was pregnant. He died while he was at war so that is why she sees him just stand there or walk away. She thinks that it is him, not realizing that she is crazy.

I love to write stories and poems. I write about lost love and hard times. I am a bit sadistic in my writings sometimes. So if you read my work don't think that I have gone through things. I read peop.. more..
