THE STAR WITH NO NAME

THE STAR WITH NO NAME

A Poem by inuSarah

You were once the evening star
Whose name I didn't know
You caught my eyes from afar
Amused by your revealing glow

Since then I learned to love the night
As much as I long for the day
You were my most favorite sight
In the entire Milky Way

My heart rejoiced when darkness fall
For I shall see you soon again
If only I could, I would do all
To stop the day from comin'

Night after night I looked up the sky
To watch you glow and glow
Yet many years have passed by
Your name still I don't know

Then a friend came on to me
On a night that's so fine
She was also amused to see
My evening star, whom she called 'mine'.
