BROKEN STRINGS

You strummed the strings
of an innocent heart,
And played a luring
song of love.
All notes danced in harmony
to the rhythm of your
sweet sounding melody.
But the song you played
did not last for long.
You ceased to strum
all of a sudden.
The music of love faded and gone;
Strings were broken
and were left unstrung.
