CELESTINE

CELESTINE

A Poem by inuSarah

Her smile is a rare gem,
Hidden inside a sunken chest
At the heart of the deepest ocean;

Her eyes, black as the night,
Are precious pearls molded
Through years of silent struggles;

She is the purest of golds,
Refined over the fire of hundred
Battles of acceptance and belongingness.

Her visage reflects a life
Fortified by many adversities
Of this unjust, rejective world;

She is no ordinary-
A fighter, a survivor;
An epitome of great fortitude.
