Falling Away From Me

Falling Away From Me

A Poem by Allan
"

A poem about someone who loves someone ele so much they blame themselves for all the problems.

"

Can't think of a time where I don't feel anything at all.
I guess that's just cause I'm an emotional person.

Can't think of a time where I didn't laugh at what you said.
I guess that's just cause you're a funny person.

Can't think of a time where we couldn't be even just friends.
I guess that's just cause you've always been there for me.

But now I view the future in a new way.
I guess that's just cause I got a harsh blow from life.

Every step I take may change the path I've set out.
I guess that's just cause I made a wrong turn in the past.

Now I'm worried you might end this friendship I love so dearly.
I guess that's my just cause it was my fault in the end.

If you can't even dare to look me in the eye next we see each other.
I'll understand you need space and I'll move further.

Until we're no longer in the vision of the other.
I'll use binoculars just to see you closer.

I'd screw up my life more than just once to prove that I need you.
I'm falling away from myself just to stand next to you.

I'm changing who I used to be and becoming someone new.
Someone who wants things for others and for others dreams to come true.

I'm changing who I used to be...
I guess that's just cause I'm falling away from me...
