The Ride

The Ride

A Poem by intuitivesoul
"

descrides hardships of life as a long motorcycle ride

"

Rolling down this road for quit some time.
Two tires mostly worn, determined I proceed onwards.

Pushing one of man's fastest machines hard
to its limits. The wind violently rips my faith apart
as the engine's scream grasps my emotions.

Burning worries like fuel. Once so pleasing and relieving.

Beautiful sound of sweet high pitch humming

exhaust. Adrenaline rising as everything rushes by. Enjoying
the ride used to be all that really mattered.

Goin fast feeling free was the way to be. Pursuing
down the path dark clouds build and rumble
as they draw near. Destination yet to come in sight.

Not to fret or fear, MY road I shall relentlessly

conquer. Tank running empty, grasping diligently ahold.

Riding in a pack the lone wolf feeling prevails.

Hunting I press on for the horizon lined with breate taking

colors. Views of the sun meeting the water.

Before retiring for the night flow through my mind steadily.

Punishments high, reward makes it more worth receiving.

Incredibly blissful companionship worth retrieving.
Rocky path of visious beatings, head held high is required.
Spirits fall low, courage and strength retained.
Clutching to her soft sweet voice is all that truly remains.

Life as a motorcycle ride...yeah. There were a couple of spelling fumbles, but they weren't on the goal line so I was able to recover the ball and continue on down the field and score a touchdown.

Hey...your life is a motorcycle ride, mine is a football game *laugh*

In all seriousness, this was a pretty good piece; poetry indicative of your lifestyle, which always makes for honest writing. Good on ya.

I very much enjoyed this. Your flow has a fragmented narrative type style ... I identify with this. The imagery was expressed well.

Very interesting and emotional. I loved the many metaphors included, but you need to work on flow. When read aloud it is rather choppy and hard to follow, but still enjoyable. Good job!
