Manic Masterpieces

Manic Masterpieces

A Poem by introvertedlove

Many Manic Masterpieces,
They were almost twice as likely to succumb to suicide
Shuffling through the mangled twisted forest that was their minds
Writers with anxiety and schizophrenia,
The dancers and photographers likely to have bipolar disorder.
Infected by their own genetics,
Close relatives with disorders, including anorexia and autism.
Listen to the voices, they think, they speak….
The disordered thoughts of schizophrenia might spark the masterpiece.
Scattered voices buzzing in the mind, distant moonlight shredding through the thin veil of the eyelids
I cannot sleep
Cannot eat
Cannot drink
So I'll dream.
