You StoppedA Poem by Asya KardzhaliyskaA short poem describing the death of a friendship due to unknown circumstancesWho are you? Where did you go? Why did you leave, and why did you not tell me?
Yet, you haven’t gone anywhere we talk and speak but not like before, who are you?
I clung and I begged and I implored like a disease, I latched on even when you gave me The knife you disguised as flowers, With the greeting card: “You are not wanted”. When I bled out, The crimson staining your hands; you whispered the killing words: “You are not needed.”
You euthanized without consent, I was dead and you never told me you just…stopped.
What have you done?
