White Lily

White Lily

A Poem by intangible_soul
"

I wrote this a long time ago. I didn't know who it was that I was seeing, but it turned out to be my brother.

"

In dreams I can see you,
Envleoped in white, and gold, and warmth.
Your left hand holds you to the light.
You right hand offers me a single white lily,
Which I take, and bring to my lips, And revel
In its softness and sweet scent.
Then I see your vision begin,
To drift away from me,
In a current of ebbing waves.
I extend my hand,
So that I might catch yours,
To grab hold and keep,
Your vision within reach.
You are too far away,
But I can still see you,
Fading slowly into the light.
Then you smile,
At me, you wave,
And keep waving.
A single tear falls,
To my cheek,
And into,
My lips.
I taste,
My lament.
Then you,
are,

gone.

You have some very beautiful imagery throughout the entire piece. There is a delcate nature of the piece that makes it all the more touching. Very well done. I look forward to reading more of your work.
