Mouse in my house
There
was a mouse in my house. She created nuisances during nights. When I used to
wake up every day, a messed up kitchen complained. The casserole was the most
vocal as his sleep was disturbed every night and whatever property he was
entrusted with, was abused by the mouse. Then there was water filter. Despite
being injured by bite marks last night, he stood his ground and did not allow
any water to be taken from his custody. At last, I got concerned and laid a
trap to arrest the culprit. To my surprise, the mouse did not put up an ounce
of fight and was trapped on the very first attempt. Well, she got enticed by a
piece of desi ghee (pure butter) laced bread.
Perhaps, taking into consideration human beings’ greed, who could be lured by
much smaller temptations, it was too much for the little mouse to resist. When
I woke up and saw her for the first time, I was amazed by her beauty. She had
these attractive black eyes. Those eyes explained her poor state of affairs and
helplessness. I fell for her and pronounced the verdict. She was to be
acquitted at once. I picked the mouse
trap and rushed to free her immediately. Both of us were very excited. She
continued to jump inside the trap during the whole journey. As I saw a secluded
place, I opened the bars of the prison for her to go and relish her life. As
she climbed over a few rocks and disappeared from the vision into the woods, a
silent prayer about her well being was made to God. It was then that another
thought rushed into my mind, I thought that even a mouse can be so daring that
she takes on the world alone and yet survives. And here we are, who crib and
lament at minuscule issues even after having so much in our lives… Think.
