I agree with the opening lines. Death will teach us many lessons. The poem got stronger and I like the questions and things left for the reader to ponder. What will we know or remember? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I'm reminded of your face
etched in my memory...
I love the entire poem, but those two lines touched my heart...having lost someone I loved very much.
Your writing gets better and better my friend.
Beautifully crafted piece. We never forget those that loved us and still do up there in the clouds of heaven. It can be so crushing to the heart as if sometimes why did it happen and why now. But we always have them held in our hearts and treasure them in our minds.
Why did you have to go? I wasn't ready then or now I suppose. Every weep recollects the times spent ago. The memories, how you filled my pages so. In every churn of my heart the love I miss leaving what remains that you best bestow.

Oooh, I'm blushing. So ecstatic that I made your day. Very welcome sweetie. :o)
So beautiful.
My favourite bit is:
Will I remember you?
Only time will tell.
For it is only memories
that it can sell.
You did a wonderful job, great match to Madalyn's poem. :)
You poem is beautiful too. I especially like the lines "The sun always sets on the day...as the darkness scatters...through the night". The other lines exactly described how I felt after my grandfather died. I have to admit that I still feel that way sometimes, especially when it comes to forgetting about him.

I wrote this for my Grandfather as well, and I feel the same. :)
Thank you for reading :)
Devesh, this is beautiful and so very true. I feel like you literally reached into my chest, grabbed hold of my heart, and squeezed. You spoke of my greatest fear, the fading of her face and memories. I cling to those at times.
This is fantastic. Truly amazing. Thank you! xoxo :)

I had been trying to write all day, nothing came. After I read your poem, I was done in all of 5 minutes. Sometimes all it takes is a sentence to spur you into motion. :)
Thank you! :)))
