Remember

Remember

A Poem by Devesh

Death has a way

of reminding us what truly matters.

The sun always sets on the day

as the darkness scatters

through the night,

there's no light

nothing to do but look

at pictures of you.

I'm reminded of your face,

etched in my memory.

It has already begun to fade

Will I remember you?

Only time will tell.

For it is only memories

that it can sell.

I agree with the opening lines. Death will teach us many lessons. The poem got stronger and I like the questions and things left for the reader to ponder. What will we know or remember? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thanks a lot for the support, Aaron! :)
I like the meaning behind it and the way it's written kind of makes you automatically think of an experience the reader had to do with that subject
