Surreal CerealA Poem by insanityOn a journey to nowhere, I once enjoyed a bowl of surreal cereal.
Kaleidoscope children Worship the gilded sun In temples of grandeur High in the alabaster sky
Treasonous truncheon wielders Stand silent at its mystifying gates The egregious infidels Admire the omnipresent havoc below
Rippling revenant reveries Dance madly with psychoses In the fastidious fatalist minds Of Earth's pertinacious pawns
Highways decadent in metallic mayhem Race along vividly chalcedonic shores Mountains in the distance echo Thunderous screams of the jilted generation
Rustic countryside dwellers caricature The vulture culture of the glass utopia Life's unwilling raconteurs Speak of their vapid, vacuous lifestyles
Indelible demarcations divide Heroic villains and villainous heroes While inadvertently juxtaposing Irreverence and irrelevance
A lifetime spent asunder In the dowries of derelict deities We find solace, from the muddling Distant dreams of alien animists
In carefully crafted fantastic fables The lost prophet's salacious stories Enchant those seeking salvation Employing fiction as factual justification
Lucid memories fill the sacred vessel Time decanted into it's barren face As time and memory coalesce The surreal cereal comes to life
