Let it Bleed

Let it Bleed

A Poem by insanity
"

Not sure how I feel about this one, sometimes I think it's great other times I think it sucks...

"

Close the door

Lay your burdens down

Your tear soaked cheeks

And your bloodshot eyes

Bleed your chronicles of pain

Open your eyes

And speak your mind

Tell me all of their lies

Breathe unto me the scorn

For in my arms there is shelter

My sweet dear

If this is what you want

And this is what you need

Then just stay here

And let it bleed

There is safety

In this harbor

My guiding light

Will lead you home

The darkness of the world surrounds you

Let us breathe

New life from our ocean

As it lays before us

Vast and effervescent

Beautiful both on the surface and beneath

The sands change

From day to day

But the ocean stands forever still

My hands are bloody and cut

You clasp yours in mine

Blood red harmony

Of our hands, our hearts

They lead us to our destiny

To that which is calling us

The red ocean at our feet.

Author's Note

insanity
The lone rhyme in the entire poem was completely unintentional, I actually didn't even notice I had done that until I read through the poem for the 3rd or 4th time awhile back.
