Black

Black

A Poem by insanity
"

Wrote this one about a year ago about my ex-fiance.

"

These shallow waters could never tell
The stories the shadows keep so well
As these photographs of yesterday
Scream so loud as they float away
That I can't hear what it's like to see
The world without the black void in me

And as I walk through the trees
Watching them gently bow to the breeze
I feel the leaves crunch as I walk
Absorbing my thoughts as I talk
To nobody, to these lifeless things
I can only cry as the blackbird sings

Your voice stills ring clear in my head
Words that never should have been said
As your ripped me piece by piece

All to get a little release
What you could never see
Was that they left a black hole in me
