Higher

Higher

A Poem by insanity
"

Found this one along with the preceding 'High' in a notebook of mine from high school.

"

Star crossed

And crimson eyed

Senses are distorted

Brains are fried

Mind like a revolving door

A gateway into the soul

Searching for sanctity

We fell in the rabbit hole

Every nerve

Tingles with anticipation

The world is twisted

Controlled by imagination

Moments pass like hours

Streets have no names

All senses are amplified

Reality is playing games

Laughing hysterically

Over nothing at all

As the moments pass

Further and further we fall

Words have no meaning

Vision is twisting and turning

The world feels strange

My mind is churning

Everything slows down

My heart beats in my ears

Paranoia strikes deep

Giving rise to all my fears

My mind wanders into sleep

At the end of the day

I am at peace

As the paranoia fades away

I actually like this poem better then your other "high" it seems to flow more and give more of a detailed description of what it is you are feeling. The lines I like the best probably because I can relate to them most are:
"Everything slows down
My heart beats in my ears
Paranoia strikes deep
Giving rise to all my fears"
Keep writing and I'll keep reading.
