She digs the gravesA Poem by insanityThe story of an old woman and her money, it was loosely inspired by Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.
She digs the graves The big and the small For the money she saves With no thought at all
She’s lived here for ages They say it’s all true A book with no pages Cheeks a rosy red hue
Or what words to say Not needing a guide Always knowing the way
She digs the graves For me and for you For all the people she enslaves She has no clue
She slowly leaves Her blood and her tears Her lonesome heart bereaves For all these years
She lost her love And herself along the way To join him above She must give it all away
She digs the graves For rich and for poor With all the blood she craves She must have more
She cares for neither friend nor foe She has chosen her vice Her death shall be slow Neither pleasant nor nice
She musn’t say Where the money lies It’s her time to go In her graves she dies © 2009 insanity |
